What do ACO, CIN, and MSSP stand for?

ACO

Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) are groups of doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers, who come together voluntarily to give coordinated high-quality care to their Medicare patients.

CIN

A Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) comprises providers who agree to partner with a hospital (or health system) and who formally commit to improving the quality and efficiency of care for the patients they serve.

MSSP

The Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) offers doctors, hospitals, and related patient care providers the opportunity to create an ACO. This program allows us to give coordinated, high quality care to Medicare beneficiaries.

Signature Partners Strives to Achieve the Triple Aim*

1: Improved quality of care and better patient outcomes

Top-performing, like-minded physicians use evidence-based clinical guidelines to improve patient outcomes.

2: Enhanced patient care experience

Clinically integrated patient-centered care ensures timely and convenient access to a continuum of care including chronic disease management, prenatal care, well-child care, individual wellness education, nutrition counseling and education.

3: More affordable medical care

Greater communication between providers ensures the right care, at the right time, by the right provider and reduces duplication of services.

* The Triple Aim Initiative was developed by the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI).
